중국에서의 독립운동과 한국문학 1－김사량의 조선의용군 문학
이 논문은 조선의용군의 활동을 다룬 ‘조선의용군 문학’에 대한 연구 작업의 하나로서, 자신의 직접 체험을 바탕으로 창작한 수필과 희곡으로 구성된 ‘김사량의 조선의용군 문학’을 살핀 것이다. 태항산 망명 이전에 쓰인 김사량의 작품들, 조선의용군을 다룬 다른 작가들(김학철, 조선희, 송호근)의 작품들도 함께 검토하였다. 망명 이전 김사량 문학은 죄의식, 고독감, 자기모순 등의 여러 윤리적 문제와 치열하게 대결하며 길을 열고자 했지만 결국 철저한 긍정과 철저한 부정의 두 의미항이 구축하는 ‘긍정/부정’의 이분법에 갇히고 만다. 더구나 반외세주의를 내세우면서도 일본의 국책을 맹목적으로 따르는 자기모순에 봉착했다. 김사량은 이 같은 위기에서 벗어나고자 중국 망명을 결단하였다. 이 결단이 낳은 김사량의 조선의용군 문학을 이끄는 핵심 모티프는 ‘탈출’이다. 태항산중에서 생산된 김사량의 조선의용군 문학은, 일본에 대한 직접 비판의 문학이라는 점에서 그 전의문학과 전혀 다른 새로운 문학이지만, 마찬가지로 권력과 이념이 만들어낸 ‘긍정/부정’의 이분법에 갇혀 있다는 점, 절대의 확신이 이끄는 무갈등의 문학이라는 점에서 그 전의 문학과 근본 속성은 다르지 않다. 한편, <다시, 빛 속으로>의 서사를 이끄는 ‘새로운 탈출’의 모티프는김사량의 조선의용군 문학의 특성을 뚜렷이 드러내는 역광의 기능을 한다는 점에서 매우 큰의미를 갖는다. 조선의용군과 그 활동 공간이 모든 것 위에 군림하는 신성성의 존재로 전제되어 있다는점이 조선의용군 문학 일반을 특징짓는 핵심 특성이다. 조선의용군과 그 활동 공간을 에워싸고 있는 신성의 신화에서 벗어나는 데서 새로운 조선의용군 문학이 가능할 것이다.
Independence Movement in China and Korean Literature 1 - The Korean Volunteer Army Literature of Kim, Saryang
This paper is part of a study on ‘The Korean Volunteer Army Literature’. I examined ‘ The Korean Volunteer Army Literature of Kim, Saryang’ consisting of essays and plays created based on his own hands-on experience. Prior to his defection, Kim, Saryang wanted to open the way by fiercely confronting ethical issues such as guilt, loneliness and self-defeating, but he ended up stuck in the dichotomy of the ‘positive/negative‘. Moreover, he is faced with self-deception that blindly follows Japan's national policy while advocating anti-foreign taxism. Kim decided to seek asylum in China to escape the crisis. The key motif of The Korean Volunteer Army Literature of Kim. Kim's literature produced in Taehangsan Mountain is a new literature that is completely different from his previous literature in that it is a literature of direct criticism of Japan, but its fundamental nature is no different from its previous literature in that it is also locked in a dichotomy of ‘positive/negative‘ and no-conflict created by power and ideology, led by absolute conviction. The motif of ‘New Escape‘ which leads is very significant in that it serves as a backlight that clearly reveals the characteristics of The Korean Volunteer Army Literature of Kim. The fact that The Korean Volunteer Army and its space of activities are based on the existence of sacredness over everything is a key characteristic that characterizes the general literature of The Korean Volunteer Army Literature. A new literature of The Korean Volunteer Army might be possible from breaking away from the sacredness.
