During his tenure as governor in Yangzhou, Wen Tong wrote 30 poems based on the representative natural and humanistic environment there. According to this, Su Shi, Su Zhe and Xian Yushen, who had friendship with Wen Tong, also created poems respectively, which formed the most noteworthy grand event for garden responsory poems in the literary sphere of the mid-Northern Song Dynasty. The appearance of Yangzhou described by them is of great significance to the formation of spatial landscape. From the perspective of human geography, this paper examines the spatial characteristics of the poems of the thirty landscapes in Yangzhou by four poets. From the investigation of the creation time and place of series of poems, it can be seen that the creation time is similar, but the creation places are different, and the order of their poems is different from the layout of landscapes. Then, according to the narrator and the description content, the author studies the spatial characteristics of Yangzhou's 30 landscapes. From the narrator's point of view, Wen Tong, who experienced the 30 Yangzhou landscapes regarded this place as an extraordinary world, while the indirect experiencers Su Shi, Su Zhe, and Xian Yushen created imaginative geographical place, this is worth paying attention to. The main descriptions of the poems are their love for Yundang Valley bamboo, the victory of natural landscape, the demand for official seclusion life, the elegance of literators, the ingenuity of humanistic landscape, and the matter of pastoral farming and mulberry etc. From these, we can understand the hobbies of the literators in the Northern Song Dynasty.
