The purpose of this study is to find constraints of the phenomenon by analyzing the cases that appeared in the process of acquiring Korean aspiration of Chinese learners in the framework of OT. The phenomenon of non-occurrence of aspirated consonants that occurs in the process of learning Chinese learners can be explained by the fact that the Uni constraint existing in the native language occupies a higher level and a candidate that violates the lower Max constraint is selected. The constraint grade according to this is Uni ≫ *Com, Coda-C(Ll) ≫ *Non-ons[h] ≫ Align-L ≫ Max, Id(F) ≫ NoCoda. As a result, regardless of whether ‘h’ precedes or precedes the plain consonants, these intermediate languages of Chinese learners are all regarded as non-occurrence of aspirated consonants in order to comply with the Uni constraint, which is a higher constraint. On the other hand, the constraint grade that works for the correct optimal form calculated by native Korean speakers is in the grade of *Com ≫ Max ≫ NoCoda ≫ Uni ≫ Align-L ≫ Id(F). Therefore, it can be analyzed that the Uni, Align-L, and Coda-C(L1) constraints need to be adjusted among the constraint hierarchies applied to generate errors in the arrangement of constraints for Chinese learners to acquire Korean aspiration.
