It has long been thought that the historical background influences the content of literary works, but in fact, the geographical environment faced by literary people also influences the content of literary works. Literary geography includes three fields of study: works, writers, and geography. It is a study that interprets and encompasses the interrelationship between geography, literary figures and works. Chinese literary geography research has attracted the attention of scholars since the last century and has become widespread in various studies. This paper studies the relationship between the Tang Dynasty, the peak era of Chinese history, and Yangzhou, the reputation of the Tang Dynasty, and Chinese literature. Based on this period, this paper will analyze the relationship between Yangzhou's literary and geographic characteristics. Through Yangzhou-related works of this period, it will explore Yangzhou's influence on literary composition in terms of economy, transportation, and natural environment. For example, Yangzhou has many farewell poems due to the development of transportation, and there are many poems on nature due to the climate. This text will explain such relationships.
