한국어 가압(加壓) 동사 ‘밀다’의 인지적 의미 및 중국어에서의 대응 분석
최근 들어, 인지언어학의 관점을 응용한 제 2 언어 교육과 학습 사례가 점점 풍부해지고 있다. 그중에 특히 어휘 교육 영역이 큰 비중을 차지하고 있다. 본고는 인지언어학 이론을 활용하여 한국어 가압 동사 ‘밀다’의 의미 확장 양상을 분석하고 중국어에서의 대응 양상을 찾았다. 중국어에서의 대응 양상을 찾음으로써 가압 동사 ‘밀다’를 보다 정밀히 이해하고 ‘밀 다’ 등 가압 동사들의 교수, 학습을 원활히 할 수 있도록 체계화하는 데에 목적이 있었다. 분석을 통해 가압 동사 ‘밀다’는 은유와 환유 두 기제로 의미 확장 원리에 의해 확장된 것을 알 수 있다. 중국인 학습자에게 어휘 교육을 실시하는 데에 다음과 같은 시사점을 얻을 수 있다. 첫째, 어휘의 원형 의미와 확장 의미를 분류하고 인지할 수 있어야 습득할 때 단순히 기계적 으로 모국어로 대치시키는 현상을 줄이고 오류도 덜 생길 수 있다. 둘째, 다의어를 학습할 때, 원형 의미가 어떤 원리, 경로에 의해 확장되었는지에 대한 학습이 필요하다.
Cognitive Meaning of Korean Verb ‘밀다’ and Correspondence Analysis in Chinese
Recently, cases of second language education and learning applying the perspective of cognitive linguistics have become increasingly abundant. Among them, the vocabulary education area occupies a large proportion. This paper analyzed the meaning expansion pattern of the Korean verb ‘밀다’ by using the cognitive linguistic theory and found the corresponding pattern in Chinese. The purpose of this study was to understand the Korean verb ‘밀다’ more precisely and to systematize the teaching and learning of the pressurized verbs such as ‘밀다’ by f i nding the corresponding pattern in Chinese. Through the analysis, it can be seen that the Korean verb ‘밀다’ is expanded by the principle of semantic expansion with two mechanisms: metaphor and metonymy. The following implications can be obtained for providing vocabulary education to Chinese learners. First, it is necessary to be able to classify and recognize the original meaning and the extended meaning of the vocabulary, so that the phenomenon of simply mechanically replacing the native language with the native language can be reduced and errors can occur less. Second, when learning polysemy, it is necessary to learn what principle and path the original meaning was expanded by.
