통번역 교육을 위한 한국어 정치외교 연설문 장르분석 - 언어학적 특징을 중심으로-
본 연구는 한국어 정치외교 연설문의 언어학적 특성을 분석하여 연설문의 일정한 장르성 을 밝히고, 통번역 교육을 위한 한국어 연설문 장르적 지식을 탐구하고 교육적 기초자료를 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 정치외교 연설문은 통번역 교육에서 자주 활용되며, 이에 대한 장 르적 지식 교육은 통번역 품질의 향상에 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 약 9.7만 자, 2.2만 어절로 구성된 한국어 정치외교 연설문 소형 코퍼스를 구축하고, 이를 통해 연설문의 언어학적 특성 을 분석하였다. Bhatia(1993)의 장르적 분석 틀을 바탕으로, 어휘·문법적 특징 및 패턴화된 언어 사용을 분석하였다. 이러한 장르 분석을 통해 한 국어 정치외교 연설문 텍스트에서는 문장 길이가 길고 복잡한 구조를 띠며, ‘현황전달’, ‘희망/축복’, ‘호소/설득적 효과’, ‘연설자 주장 제기’ 등 정형화된 표현을 많이 사용하는 것을 확인했다. 이상 언어학적 장르분석 결과 를 결합하여 한국어 정치외교 연설문의 통번역 교육에 중요한 시사점을 제공한다.
A Study on Genre Analysis of Political and Diplomatic Speech for Korean Interpretation and Translation Education - Focused on linguistic features-
In this paper, we developed a specialized corpus centered on Korean political and diplomatic speeches. Our analysis delved into the unique linguistic features and genre-specific attributes of these speeches. We employed a genre analysis approach, focusing on three key aspects: sentence length, sentence complexity, and the use of stereotypical expressions. A notable finding is the prevalence of lengthy sentences in these texts. Additionally, political and diplomatic speeches frequently and diversely employ conjunction endings, alongside a substantial use of adjective prepositional endings. This highlights the elevated syntactic complexity inherent in such speeches. Moreover, we utilized the N-gram extraction method to identify and analyze recurrent phrases within the corpus. Our analysis revealed a significant presence of genre-specific expressions in political and diplomatic speeches. The linguistic genre characteristics identified in this research offer valuable insights for the fields of interpretation and translation, providing practical educational implications.
