중한 가상 이동 표현에 대한 고찰 - 표현 유형과 언어 유형을 중심으로 -
이 연구는 중한 가상 이동 표현을 연구하여 두 언어 가상 이동 표현의 유형학적인 특성을 분석하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. Talmy의 ‘fictive motion’ 논의, 기존 선행연구를 바탕으로 두 언어의 특성을 제시하고, 개별성을 추출하였다. 중한 가상 이동의 유형을 대조하고, 이동 사건 틀 이론을 기반으로 하여 중국어와 한국어의 이동 사건에서의 유형학적인 특성을 분석 하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. Talmy의 주장에 따라 이동 사건의 핵심 도식인 ‘경로’를 발산 경로, 패턴 경로, 틀 상대적 이동, 도래 경로, 접근 경로, 동연 경로의 6가지 유형으로 분류한 것을 토대로 중국어와 한국어의 이동 사건 유형을 검토하였다. 결론적으로 중국어와 한국어 모두 Talmy가 제시한 6가지 유형의 가상 이동 표현으로 유형화할 수 있다. 연구를 통해 중국 어와 한국어는 위성 틀 언어 및 동사 틀 언어의 특징을 모두 가지고 있음을 발견하였다. 이러 한 이중성으로 인해 양 언어가 특정한 언어 범주에 속한다고 단언하기는 어렵다. 대신 균등 틀 언어의 범주에 더 가까이 위치하고 있다고 판단할 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해 양국 가상 이 동 표현을 더 깊이 이해하는 계기가 마련되길 바라는 마음에서 중국어와 한국어 이동 사건 연구에 자료를 제공하도록 하겠다.
A study on fictive motion in Chinese and Korean - Based on the types of expressions and linguistic typology -
In this study, we examined the different types of fictive motion expressions used in Korean and Chinese. Through this analysis, we compared the fictive motion expression types present in both languages. From this analysis we can draw the following two conclusions. First, both Korean and Chinese contain all six of Talmy's basic fictive motion expression types. However, scholars disagree on how certain types should be classified, which could exclude some from being considered true fictive motion expressions. Specifically, there is disagreement about the status of pattern path fictive motion in Chinese and radiation path and pattern path fictive motion in Korean. Secondly, based on their motion event typology, previous research has categorized Korean as a verb-framed language and Chinese as a satellite-framed language. However, our analysis reveals that both languages exhibit a dual nature in this regard. Due to this duality, it is difficult to definitively assign Korean and Chinese to one specific linguistic category. Instead, it seems more accurate to consider them closer to equipollently-framed languages in characterization.
