从‘懦夫’到‘战士’ - <梦天>一民的伦理身份解读 -
20세기 초, 조선이 일제에 의해 점령당한 후 애국 문학가 신채호는 중국으로 망명 후 그의 역사적 환상 소설 <꿈하늘>에서 어려운 민족 부흥의 길을 찾는 청년 ‘한놈’을 그려냈다. ‘한놈’ 은 꿈속에서 한국 역사를 유랑하며 수많은 유혹과 고난을 겪으며, 생명을 탐하는 ‘겁쟁이’에서 제국주의에 맞서 싸우는 ‘전사’로 성장한다. 이러한 정체성의 변화는 중국 문학의 윤리학 비평 이론에서 “윤리적 정체성”이라는 용어의 재해석이며, 신채호를 포함한 일제시대의 애국 혁명 가들의 망명 심리를 반영하며, 일제의 그늘 아래 어렵게 살아가는 수백만 한민들의 진정한 모습을 드러낸다. 신채호는 ‘한놈’의 성장 과정을 통해 민족정신과 윤리적 교훈을 전달할 뿐만 아니라, 한민들에 대한 깊은 애정과 두터운 기대를 담고 있다. 일제로부터 국권을 회복하기 위해 무기를 들고 싸워야 한다.
From ‘Coward’ to ‘Warrior’ - An Ethical Identity Interpretation of Hannom in Dream in Heaven -
In the early 20th century, the Korean patriot and writer Shin Chae-ho, exiled in China due to the annexation of his homeland, crafted his historical fantasy novel Dream in Heaven. This work molds the character of Hannom, a young man arduously seeking the path to national rejuvenation, much like Shin himself. Hannom, wandering through Korean history in his dreams, encounters numerous temptations and predicaments, evolving from a life-fearing 'coward' to a 'warrior' in the anti-imperial struggle. This transformation exemplifies the concept of 'ethical identity' in the critique theory of Chinese literary ethics. It reflects the exilic mindset of patriots and revolutionaries like Shin Chae-ho during the Japanese occupation, as well as the real-life struggles of millions of Koreans under Japanese imperialism. Through Hannom's growth, Shin Chae-ho not only conveys national spirit and ethical teachings but also expresses his profound hope for the Korean people: to take up arms in the fight against Japanese rule and restore national sovereignty.
